Dr. Frank Houghton

Dr Houghton has been active in publishing on the issues of access to libraries, and predatory publishing. Dr  Houghton is a member of the NORF Open Access  (Publications WG) and of the NORF Bibliodiversity Task  Group. Dr Houghton has extensive experience of both quantitative and qualitative research. 

Jane Buggle

Jane Buggle is the Head Librarian at IADT. She is co-founder/manager of the Irish Open Access Publishers community of practice that promotes engagement with the Diamond Open Access publishing model as well as indexing on the Directory of Open Access Journals and the  Directory of Open Access Books. The IOAP aims to promote publishing activity that is free of paywalls and publication embargoes to further the dissemination of high-quality scholarly output to all of society. Jane is the Convenor of the IFLA Library Publishing Section. Previously, Jane lectured on  Library Publishing on the Open Scholarship module of the  MSc Information and Library Management at Dublin  Business School. The  IOAP will complement the work of  Publishing Ireland by engaging with OA journal publishers.

Dr. Johanna Archbold

Dr Archbold is the Head Librarian at ATU Sligo and leads the library's research strategy for ATU Library. Her role on this project brings expertise in publishing, policy and research practices based on representing the TU/IoT sector on a national level through IReL and NTUTORR. Through her Directorship of the grassroots Irish Open Access Publishers group which supports diamond OA and bibliodiversity, Dr Archbold has engaged with leaders in Open Scholarship at international level. As Head Librarian, she has over 5 years’ experience in and building services for, and relationships with researchers. She has been part of the NORF funded Sonraí project since it started. As co-lead of WP 2, she brings experience of previous NORF projects and relevant professional, university and research knowledge to address the primary bibliodiversity and inclusivity goals of the project.

Niamh Brennan

Niamh Brennan contributes technical expertise in  Diamond OA publishing to this project based on experience hosting over ten peer-reviewed open access journals, e.g. Journal of the Statistical and Social Inquiry  Society of Ireland, Economic and Social Review, all of  Trinity’s student-published journals, new OA monograph publishing, one of Ireland’s oldest institutional repositories (TARA) connected to eDeposit Ireland. She was co-chair of NORF’s Open Access Working Group and TCD’s OpenAIRE representative, managing OpenAIRE’s National Open Access Desk for Ireland. She brings expertise, tools, standards and resources in the area of research information, bibliometrics and research evaluation and impact (in the broadest sense). 

David Kane

David is a committee member of the IOAP with responsibility for its website. He is interested in the use of social web (web 2.0) to enhance discovery and evaluation of information in a scholarly context, promotion of use of new technologies in academic research, and data mining and learning analytics.

Dr. Kayla Cooley

Kayla is the Project Manager for Diamond Ireland, based at Technological University of the Shannon. She brings expertise in cross-disciplinary research and collaboration, non-profit governance, strategy and development to the project.

Dr. Kieran Rankin

Dr. Kieran Rankin is a political and historical geographer, currently based as Research Fellow at the Library of Trinity College Dublin. He is the digital journal manager for both the Journal of the Statistical and Social Inquiry Society of Ireland and the Economic and Social Review. Kieran has published work (see listing here) relating to political geography, international boundary studies, historical cartography, the Middle East, and modern Irish and British history.
